Hey there! My name is Carol Channer. 

I've enjoyed writing poetry and short stories for many years.  

Born and raised in southern New Jersey, I've been living in Central Florida since 1975. My husband Wayne and I have been married for 28 years, raising two daughters and one son together. We now have one grandchild. 

My son and son-in-law are both currently on active duty in the military, which has inspired my latest devotional book, entitled, “Strength for Today While My Soldier is Away.”  My son has completed a tour in Iraq and will possibly be deployed to Afghanistan soon. My son-in-law, who has been stationed overseas for several years, is currently deployed to Iraq.

I am available for speaking engagements for groups who support our military.

 I enjoy working within the Christian community, often writing inspirational poetry for special events, and working with the women’s, children’s, music, and Sign Language ministries in my church. I am a committed member of the National Day of Prayer Task Force of Osceola County, and I also enjoy volunteering as a swimming instructor to the elementary school children in the local public school system.
